Book Review: My Summer of Magic Moments by Caroline Roberts

Proclaimer: Get your tissues at the ready!!

This book will make you cry on occasions as it will relate to each and every one of us out there!

Claire is a survivor, with the scars to prove it, and is ecstatic to be spending three weeks on her own in an idyllic ‘rough and ready’ cottage right by the coast. This alone time doesn’t last very long though as she wakes up to a rather handsome man swimming stark naked in the sea right outside her balcony who walks right into the cottage next door to hers.

This book will have you reaching for your tissues but will also have you smiling and laughing along with the characters as the story progresses and really makes you think of your own ‘magic moments’

Not only does this book make you think and value yourself but it will also make you grateful for who and what you have in your life! Definitely a book that you won’t be able to put down!!

As an extra I’ve decided to share some of my own magic moments with you guys:

  • When my partner walks into the house and envelops me in a massive hug
  • Laying in bed with a good book and a cup of tea
  • Snuggling up in bed with a good film on tv
  • Visiting my parents and my little brother running up to greet me with a hug - he grows up too quick!
  • Watching my partner and parents laugh and joke together
  • Getting into bed with clean pyjamas and freshly washed bedding
And the biggest one of all...

  • When my partner got down on one knee and proposed to me whilst on holiday earlier this year, he couldn’t have done it any better, and he caught the moment perfectly on camera
